Closed off to traffic

I remember when School Road was closed off to traffic as it now is that I was happy not to have to cross any roads to get to school. It was only from Queens Road but it seemed like a big deal to little me. My mum (now sadly passed) was a school governor for a time but that was after I’d left the school.
